Hi,
I have some Metal tape and was wondering if I can play or record Metal tape on the CT-F700 deck?:scratch2:
I do not see a metal tape position on the selector.:scratch2:
Thanks,

The Pioneer cassette decks that were designed for metal tape are the CT-F750, 850, 950, and 1250. The x50 model numbers in the Pioneer cassette deck line designate metal tape capability.

Thank you for that information, I have a CT-F950, guess that one will be for the metal music...
Thanks,

You CAN play a metal tape back using the CrO2 (Type II) position. However, recording is out of the question.

Hi,
Thanks for the heads up, I will try it today, I made a back up copy of "John Lee Hooker" tape and recorded it on metal to see if there was any difference. The sound was amazing.
Thanks,
