I had those speakers for a short while. They were nice but nothing truly exceptional. Lightly built, but sounded good despite that. They weren't one of Kef's top of the line.

I agree that it seems expensive for what it is. I had a pair of the smaller C series (which actually got better reviews at the time than the bigger ones, I think largely because of fewer panel resonances since the cabinets were smaller), and despite an enthusiasm for KEF based on the 104ab, their drivers, and their really clear, intelligent advertisements (matched only by the early AR ads written by Edgar Villchur), I just didn't like them that much, despite the price (found at the dump with, oddly enough, a Luxman reciever(not the 3030)). Probably quite nice sound, but you can probably do better for less money. (Though, of course, this could be said about almost any deal.)
