Saw a copy of his Better shred than dead double set, and checked it out from the library.
Kinda like 60s instrumentals brought forward to the 21st century.
Was that you, Dave918? The guy does shred those chords and can pick those single notes like a sonuvagun.

Thought so, but there are so many good leads posted in those daily 'what're y'all lissenin' to' threads.
The only problem with library albums are that some people seem to rollerblade on the disks ... but this double-disk set is good and I'll be taping it for posterity (and use in the car).

Who'd Dick play for before headlining his own act?

Dick has pretty much always worked solo. He did have a backing band called The Del-Tones for a while early on. The King Of Surf music, no doubt. Also one of the most major infuences in almost any style of guitar IMO.
