Am on the road working in SoCal. Up in the mountains doing survey work. Stopped at a thrift in the tiny village of Frazer Park and just bought two new unopened NOS Maxell MX 90s in the original poly bag.

The store tag was on them that said $4.98 and one over the top that said $6.79. Still no sellers so they went to the thrift and I got them for $.50 each along with some other pre-recorded stuff. Now to see what they go for on the 'Bay :scratch2:

I also got some BOSE promo tapes (polkas and such) that I don't care for or want, but these tapes are the heaviest cassettes I have ever handled. Screwed together clear shells with very dark tape. Black hubbed corner rollers, etc. I'll bulk erase them and use for my own road tapes, but yikes they are well made :)

Not really. I don't look so much in the used LP stuff anymore as prices are rising and I have most of what I want. But, cassettes, ah - that's another matter. Around my neck of the woods they range from $.10 to $.50. I have about 1/2 as many prerecorded cassettes as I do LPs (~300) and about 100 of my own from noodling around in the old days. Fred Longworth is tuning up my A deck (Sony TC K555) and it may be there when I get home. It's not the Denon, but it ain't black either and it does sound very close :)

Oh, the price on these looks to be between $13 & $16 each on the 'bay. Of course there are some sellers who want $30, but the average is just over $12. Guess I might make a dime on these if I don't record on them :)
