This is a fantastic site and a great resource for info on vintage audio. I made the same mistake many did in the mid 90's, we "upgraded" to a surround sound system and I foolishly donated my old Pioneer gear (SX780, CTF750, HPM100's) Well, I regained my senses and thought I'd get some more vintage Pioneer gear and upgrade at the same time! I started hunting the internet and ebay and have put together most of my dream system: Pioneer SX-1980 receiver, CT-F1000 cassette deck, P-D70 CD player, PL-630 turntable, SG-9800 equalizer, and a pair of HPM-900 speakers. A couple of units need repair, but I'm willing to wait and invest to get them right. The receiver sounds fantastic! I can't wait to add a pair of HPM-100's to go with them!
Thanks again for a great site!! Like vintage cars...its addicting!!

We're about an hour north of Tampa on the west coast of FLA....Crystal River/Homosassa area.
I'm so glad I found this site. I've only had the 1980 up and running for a couple of weeks now...forgot how good these systems sound! Like listening to a vintage musclecar with a well tuned big block:thmbsp:

I drive right through Nobleton 2 or 3 times a week on the way to my office in Brooksville. I'll hollar "Howdy" next time through (Monday).

Tedrick, I haven't yet moved there. Maybe in the spring if the market doesn't kill me too bad. Don't say hello yet, but soon. Thanks. Note to all, if I pull this off there will be a Florida Fest there sometime in 2009. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the market has bottomed out. If not, maybe in 2010.
