This was listed on CL as a mystery amp, so the seller didn't know it's history. But it was only $25, so I jumped on it. For one thing, that power tranny is frickin huge, and those outputs aren't exactly small either. The power tranny says A Product Of Kenyon Transformer Company, Inc. NY,NY USA Type S 22751. One of the outputs says Chicago Standard A-3600, with specs, but for some reason the spec list is facing the power tranny, lol. The other output is VERY similar, & might very well have identical specs & such, but has slightly different bells. :scratch2: The tubes are 7025 (1 RCA & 1 GE), 12AT7 (1 with no markings at all & 1 Bugle Boy :D) and the outputs are 1 Tung-Sol 5881 and 1 CBS in a diamond logo 6L6WGB. This was obviously an integrated amp, but once I get a handle on things, I'm pretty sure it wants to be a straight power amp.

Great find! It looks very clean as well.

It could be a single ended stereo amplifier, or a mono push/pull amplifier with one output transformer, one power transformer, and one choke coil (transformer). Would need to see a pic of the underside to determine which.

Could also be a two channel guitar amp.

Well, it turns out this is a mono amp, you called it right, cademan. I should have looked at the pots sooner. It seems I'm constantly being reminded of just how LITTLE I actually know, lol. ;) I'm still happy I grabbed it, the trannies look like they're keepers, and I "might" eventually learn enough to convert/rebuild it to stereo, if I can find another of these Chicago outputs, or a pair of something. :scratch2:
