I was given 3 turntables lately. The BIC 980 is working for the moment. You were right, using silicone spray is a quick fix for the cam follower arms. I did not take it apart yet but decided on cleaning them with denatured alcohol and a small brush. Time will tell.

I got the DUAL to index by manufacturing a small bushing to fit over a vertical shaft from the base of the tone arm. When I remove it, the tonearm does not index. However, I cannot adjust the indexing. So, my question is, will the diameter of the manufactured bushing (I'm sure it's a little bigger in diameter than the one that disintegrated) affect the indexing screw adjustment? Or is the indexing adjustment just an unrelated problem?

I'm just not ready to throw in the towel.
