hello everybody. a friend of mine turned me on to this site yesterday so here i am. awesome forum i must say.glad to be here.
i'm a vintage freak. love just about anything vintage. i own about 8 or 9 different stereo systems. mostly 60's-70's with the exception of one newer system.
i recently-this past week-scored a system that i am really enjoying. i had told my wife that we needed some vintage speakers for our main listening area. the new klh's just werent working with our vintage vibe and such. we were in the goodwill store a few days later and i spotted some vintage speakers and fell in love with them. they are pioneer cs-77a models. they were 5 bucks a peice. i was in heaven. amazing condition. i then noticed beside them was a receiver and a turntable. i wasnt looking for them but sure am glad i got 'em. the receiver is a pioneer sx-6000. from what i read here already, it appears its circa 72-73. the turntable is a dual 1229. they were also 5 bucks a peice. they all look exceptional. everything works from what i can tell. i am amazed by the sound.
i'm real happy about my new find. i WILL get some pics taken and get them posted.
