pretty high...nice little mid range Marantz. anything pre 1980 is good, so if it's 22xx, it's good. B models were usually a revision of an earlier model, for example 2230 is 1972, the 2230B came out in 1976 I think. definitely go for it, you'll like it.

I have one of these little fella's! I love it. Smooth sounding. Seem-less. Pretty as all get out!
Depends what the price tag is, but I would really get one of these.

I think the 22xx teens, twenties, and thirties all have pretty good marks around here. I enjoy my 2216B and 2238B very much. I don't think you can go wrong with the 22xx series as long as you keep up with the maintenance.

I picked up a nice 2226b on Ebay earlier this year to replace my dead NAD amp and the Marantz is great. Sounds better than the NAD through my old JBL L-36 speakers and looks way cooler. Get it.

I own a 2226B, my bedroom unit. Got it on the cheap because it was filthy and none of the lamps worked, owner didn't want it. After a cleaning and new lamps, there was almost not a scratch on it.

I'd say to go get it. Mine would be one of the last in my collection to sell, which hopefully I never will have to.

And for some reason it has the best FM reception of all my units.

The B is a variation on the model. This one is much more attractive than the 2226.

Oh, almost forgot to say I really like this unit!
