Hello and Shalom Y'all,

Found a Pioneer SX-6000 for sale on Craigslist with a Make Offer
request. Can't seem to find anything on it on the net, although one site mentioned 85wpc. It has pre-out power-in, 2 phono, 2 aux, 2 tape, 3 speaker out, Center out. Speaker out uses those weird speaker adaptors that look like an electric plug. Seller is bringing here tomorrow for me to look at it, can anyone here advise me about it. I saw that Dingusboy found one last Dec. but no info. Help y'all, need to know if it is worth having.

No joy.
Not familiar with that model, and nothing in my 97 Orion like that.

Mebbe an SX-600?
Anyway, those weird speaker plugs put it in the 60s to very early 70s. It had better have 'em, 'cause they seem to be expensive little bits to acquire.

It comes w/plugs, and it is a SX-6000.

Never been to fond of the real early Pioneer stuff but I cant comment on the 6000 since i never heard one. Here is a link so you can see what it looks like

Never saw this before!! A spitting image of my four channel receiver. Figure not much power 20-25 watts per channel. FM is is really good and it sounds better than my SX 850, QX-949, and SX 727. How much would they take?

I might be interested in it. What kind of condition? I have three QX-8000's in various conditions. One perfect, one that needs a look to correct an intermintant front channel and one as a preamp for my three TEAC's.

See pic.

I was not impressed with the 6000 sonically. It looks cool (to my eyes) but just doesn't sound all that good. I gave it a listen and resold it. As was mentioned, they don't go for much (paid $25 for mine) and IMHO there is good reason.

Well it got here, got turned on, played with knobs, listened to it moan and groan, although that was one sided, got turned off, left.
Thanks,
Uri
