The November SMAC meet has been scheduled for Saturday, November 15th from 1-6pm. See my email for further details.

The system is pretty unusual and should be interesting:

AVI ADM9.1s active monitors with DAC and pre-amp being fed via a Mac Mini for the digital side (all lossless files).

On the analog side an Lp-12 with Benz Ace and K&K basic phono stage.

Bring a cd player if you can.

Hope to see you there.

I can't make this one. :( I sure would love to go but I'll be in the woods hunting white tail deer with my father. I loves me some venison and I need to resupply.

Cheers gents and have fun.

Ernie and I will be there.

Cool. Haven't seen Ernie for awhile.

I think this should be a really interesting system - an unusual mix of current technology (a Mac feeding active speakers for digital) and old school (an LP12 with a nice phonostage for vinyl). You don't get to see something like this too often. Looking forward to it.

Any one from Ann Arbor going for the meeting? I can drive and take up to 5 others with me, or pay for gasoline if someone else wants to drive and does not mind taking me along.

Please PM or respond here.

Also, would it be OK to bring along a USB hard-drive (FAT32) with lossless files on it? Don't know if Mike reads AK.

Saw gas for 1.88 today. If NOSValves isn't going Beer Hunting, we may be down for this one.

I plan on bringing Kegs Denon as a digital source. I dont have any spare IC's so it would be nice if someone could bring some.

I have a set of very, very expensive ICs that appear to be all silver:scratch2:

I can bring those Dave for the Denon.

BTW I enjoyed using these but I like my regular old Signal Cable ICs better.

Many thanks Mike. A very cool system. That LP12 was awful pretty.

We had a great turnout, in spite of some hideous weather conditions. Thanks to all too who participated. Had a great time.

Hey Jeff, is the hoster a poster here?

I had a great time, wonderful system, love the table!

But I left a large white envelope there with circuit/instructions and a board in it to.
Was wondering how best to get those, is that something you might be able to grab?

If you could I don't need it anytime soon just hold on to it, if not then contact info?

Thanks,
keg

Thanks, Mike, for putting up with a houseful of, um...crazies?, no... 'guests', that's it! Not sure if you bargained for that, when you signed up, but it was a good time for all.

It was great to renew some friendships, too, after missing several meetings.
