The seller has a good rating. Personally I wouldn't bid over $1500 for it....

That is a unique, collectible piece for sure. However, I think you could do better for that kind of money.

The 33000 is separates, if you look closely.

I tend to beleive that it says "receiver" on the unit, it is a receiver...:scratch2:

Maybe not as valuable as you think ;)

This Sansui G-22000 sold separately at $685.00 and $665.00 respectively.

As a collectible, the 33 is much more desirable, though.

I find the dual-component design of the 22 and 33 somewhat awkward looks-wise, and for my money I'd rather go with a G-9 - but that's just me; I am very much aware that the 22 and 33 are much more powerful, rarer, desirable and valuable.

LOL this seller split the piece up....sold the reciever section and amp section seperately. Please make sure what you post is factual....... I love this site however the amount of misinformation passed here can be truly phenominal.

Thus, from these two auctions in order to have the COMPLETE G-22000 you would have spent $1350.

Best,

Paul

That's why I stated G-22000 as in singular and quoted the prices respectively for the preamp and power amp ;) Sorry if I confused anyone ;)

To each his own but IMO way too much.

Handy-dandy scale of separate-ness:

5 - Two monoblocks, pre, TT pre-pre, tuner,...

4 - Two monoblocks, pre, tuner,...

Pi - 3 with a tube-assisted pre.

3 - Tuner, Pre, Amp.

2 - Integrated/tuner.

1.333 - Dual-mono design receiver. :D

1 - Receiver with its own pre, tuner, amp.

0 - AM transistor radio, desk Clock Radio, or Bose waveradio (with speakers all in one box).

(-1) iPod (using psychoacoustic modelled compression schemes, not FLAC)

----------

Strict categorical interpretation is an old philosophical hobgoblin.

Not the traditional receiver (all in one box). Not the traditional 3-unit separates either.

These 22k, 33k units are in separate containers connected by a detachable cable--but you can't really mix and match them with your Kenwoods; it's somewhere in between-- :beerchug:

Shades of grey. Tea. Earl Gray, Hot. With a dash of Mandelbrot around the perimeter...
