Anyone know the pinouts Perpetual Tech used for I2S input?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a diagram.

Thanks! Can't wait to try my new PC Link this way.
I'll post the results.

Need some more info. The PC Link I2S output is labeled LRCK BCK DV+ SCLK SDATA. I don't think DV+ should be used as i think there is 5Volts there. SCLK is most likely serial clock output. SDATA=serial data connection. So I guess the question is: which connection = master clock, and frame sync? Anyone know or just try and see? Don't want to blow anything up!

I have a similar problem hooking up Pop Pulse PC Link II to a Northstar 192 DAC.
I think the pins on the PC Link II are:
SCLK: Serial clock
LRCK: Frame Sync
GND: Ground
SDATA: Serial data
BCK: Bit clock
DV+: Voltage

My question is, what are the pinouts on the Northstar 192 DAC? Anyone?

Here's the Pop Pulse:

The Northstar doesn't say anything. Just an RJ45 female.

I tested a series of combinations by cutting a TP cable and shift the strands:

But the number of possible combinations are simply too many...

I would eliminate the DV+ terminal as it has +5V on it. You wouldn't want to damage any thing. I would keep the leads as short as possible also.

Thanks mcdan.
I excluded the DV+ and tried a bunch of combinations with a 1m cable.
I simply can't make it sound :-(

Been away for awhile. Did you get it to work?

I'm also working on this problem:

The Pop Pulse pinouts are is as follows:
1: X (presumably blank?)
2: L/R CLK
3: BCLK (bit clock)
4: GND
5: DV+
6: SCLK
7: SDATA
8: X

Assuming the Northstar pinout is as follows:
1: SCLK
2: SCLK Return
3: SDATA
4: SDATA return
5: L/R CLK
6: L/R CLK return
7: MCLK
8: MCLK return

It is possible to get some musically-related information (imagine a fuzzed-up version of a hi-fi playing next door) by connecting the Northstar pins 1/3/5/7 to the relevant Pop Pulse terminals. this assumes that what is labelled MCLK on the Northstar is equivalent to BCLK on the Pop Pulse. I feel I'm really close here, but no cigar . . .

Have you tried reversing the serial and bit clock leads?
