As for "Full Meal Deals" I had this guy done last year. I posted a thread about it then and I need to do a search to see just what all was done. Since then my computer crashed loosing all that pertains to this bad boy. Since we have been talking about big caps etc. how bout these big guys. Dual toroids, dual mono, Class AB, runs class A for the first 10 watts. Bias was set per Nelson's instructions. All upgrades were also per his wishes. I will find my old thread and be more specifac. I know many of you know this guy but there has been many newcomers since this was hot.
In a nutshell. . .
1) Replaced the stock 700 VA toroidal with 2 600VA units for dual mono operation.
(Actually I checked the original Toroid, it was only 1 volt lower than the ones I put in).
2) Replaced the 12000mfd per side (24000 total) capacitance to 40,000mfd per side (80,000 total). The replaced caps are superior grade Cornell Dubilier 100 volt types (stock were 45/90 volt types). These retail for $84 each.
3) Replaced the two 25 amp bridge rectifiers with 50amp parts. This upgrade was recommended by Nelson Pass for all his amps i.e. (Threshold, Forte and Pass labs).
4) Performance was enhanced to Dual mono, power into 8 ohms from 200 to 250 watts and 4 ohms from 300 to 410 watts.
