Even without Ronnie Lane (RIP), it'd be a great excuse to have a drink and shake your moneymaker with a nice bird.

Works for me. I loved the Rod & The Faces back in the day, especially the first three LPS AND Rod's solo stuff.
"First Step", "Long Player", "A Nod is as Good as a Wink", are all fine by me, as is "Every Picture", "Gasoline Alley", & "Never A Dull Moment" The 4 CD box set " "5 Guys Walk into a Bar" is highly recommended.
Hated it when Rod went disco...

I'm with you re: early Rod on the Mercury label and the Faces stuff. Original pressing LPs are usually inexpensive.
"5 Guys" is a must for any Faces fan.
I'm willing to forgive Rod for "D'ya Think I'm Sexy," but NOT "Tonight's the Night."
