No doubt. I guess the wife will be taking sanctuary somewhere tonight 'cause it's going to get load.

It was good to read the stories about him being a class act. :thmbsp:

Sad. Mitch did for rock drums what Hendrix did for rock guitar. Without him, rock n roll would have (literally) been a less groovy place to be. "Fire" is one of the most awesome performances ever recorded. Wait..."Manic Depression"...wait..."She's so Fine". I could go on. RIP Mitch.

RIP. Sad, at 61 - and sad that he made it the longest of anyone in that band.

He was my second favorite drummer, behind Buddy Rich. He could do roll after roll and improvise better than anyone. Hell, he had to playing with Hendrix. He made people realize there is more to drumming than being a power drummer. Not fond of power drummers anyway. He was one lucky man to play with the best trio to grace the earth.

As one critic once said. "God created man so one day he could hear Electric Ladyland".

wow, sad. I can't even count how many times I've listened to the Hendrix albums. Mitch was a great drummer. RIP

Just saw Mitch on the "Experience Hendrix" tour. We were commenting on how frail and scattered he looked. Really didn't play much. Dam...

Tried like hell to catch the tour in the Northeast, Boston, NH, NY,Pa. always busy when things like this come around. I was just telling a friend about it and how we don't have alot of years left to catch some of these guys. I need to take the time before time takes me. Admired Mitch from the beginning, grew up on Hendrix. Heaven has one hell of a band.

I saw Mitch when the tour was in RI on 10/17. The show was excellent and just seeing Mitch there was very cool, but as Mark said, he looked frail and had to be helped around the stage.
I never followed his career, but I know he influenced many aspiring drummers.
He will be missed.

Seeing that picture makes me wonder where has time gone. We're just all hurtling along way too fast.

I hope he lived his life the way he wanted too. Cause he's the one that had to die, when it was time for him to die. Play on drummer.
