These are gorgeous little amps that work like crazy. I bought my first one by accident, really didnt know much about them at the time. That one came with an original service manual. this new one I got yesterday came with the original owners manual. This guy is nicer than my first one. It is/was a one owner that hasnt been used for 15 years and has never been opened. I blew her out, lubed the pots and switches as they were just starting to get scratchy, now great sound from a TOTL Pioneer integrated amp.
Dont tell it that it is a 60/65 wpc amp as it will get the job done, a great amp.

This guy will clean up to mint. . . I am a happy camper. Now to get one more for a bedroom HT setup to hook to the Parasound PreAmp I bought from RuSsMan/WardsWeb. I cannot say enough good about these little amps.
DC Offset 1.4mV Right/ 10.9mV left I think I will leave it alone.

Today I picked another TT. Not familiar with it, Sony PS-LX520 with a good Audio Technia(sp) cartridge and stylus in near mint condition for 5 bucks.
This little amp was built for Turntables I think, works great. I have a couple much nicer TTs but none that have a stylus so I was excited to at least hear a record again.

I can not say enough good about the SA-9100, they are incredible little amps, if you can call 30 pounds little. I dont know of another Pioneer amp made that can measure up to this guy. At a way way underrated 65wpc . . . Just think if they made this amp in a 125+ wpc model WOW!!
My needs are constantly changing, I was wanting to get three of these guys for a bedroom HT system but as I think it over why would I put this versatile amp in a situation where you cant take advantage of its great features. So I think I will keep one and sell the other one. Amps are cheap, I could pick up a multi-channel or a couple 50+ watters for much less money and be happier in the process. This one is nicer than the one I use every day so it will most likely be the one to go. Someone is going to get a good one.

Man I need a scanner. . . Next on my list. This is the 1st page of the SX-9100s manual where it describes how it is built. . .

The SA-9100 was my first piece of real hi-fi gear. "In its' day" it was a real bruiser. It could push a pair of speakers well beyond being able to talk to someone next to you.
My roommate at the time bought one, too.
I traded mine in for the SX-828, as I needed to have a tuner, and the TX-9100 was a bit expensive, to me.

Anyway, it is fun to read that the little brute is still a killer piece of kit!

I cant believe I ignored them when new. . . I guess I was young and like horse power I wanted more. . . I never even listened to one although I had a couple friends who had them and I never understood why they praised a 65wpc amp so much. . . Well I do know now. . . Maybe when I send my user off I can get some power readings then, I betcha it is way more than 65 or 70wpc.
