I've been hearing this song (Bad Girlfriend) over and over lately, And asking anyone who would listen, Who the hell are these guys? After some confusion doing the search routine, The band is "Theory of a Deadman", And they are very very good. Think a supercharged "Soundgarden". They are not rookies, With 3 lp's out there, I ran out and grabbed there newest "Scars & Souvenirs"
and 05's "Gasoline". Will do a review on Scars & Souvenirs after I run through it a few more times, But there is not 1 bad track on EITHER disc. With all due respect to our northern neighbors, Forget Rush, Check out these guys!

I'm not too the style of rock Theory of A Deadman is playing, but they're pretty competent. They came to my attention because of two things: they did a credible cover of Portishead's "Sour Times" and a girl I went to high school with supposedly toured with them for a while as a groupie. :guitar:

They are a Nickleback forumula band along with Default (you can see the lead singer playing on Kroegers Hero/Spiderman song video...you can have all three of them if you give us back Neil Young.

I saw them live awhile back and wasn't amused. Not really my type of music though.

I would say as always a matter of taste, All I know, There songs a catchy, Excellent vocals, And stellar guitar licks. Not to mention well produced by somebody who knows what there doing. Read there touring with the Crue this winter, Not to bad.

If youre into theory check out 3 days grace they are also a "decent" canadian band, the singer appears on that new apocalyptica song i dont care as lead vocals.

Another guy to check out is Jimmy Bowskill. Canadian blues guy actually local to my town here. Does some good blues stuff. Wrote his first song on my buddy's guitar apparently.
