I am listening to a 2 cd set called Smooth Jazz. It features many old standards given a jazz twist by artists such as David Benoit, stanley Clarke, Pete Christlieb, Patrice Rushen, Paul smith and Phil woods. Really great arrangements and best of all the cd sounds really, really good! The Infinitys are singing.

Glad your enjoying it. Never heard of that particular set but there are many to choose from....

Dave Grusin's GRP company made sets of samplers with great cuts from their cds that can be found pretty cheaply and you get the great GRP sound to boot!!

We have a local college station that specializes in this very genre. It makes the morning commute almost tolerable. Although some of their choices fall more into the realm of hot tub jazz.
