Not mine yet, but, this sure looks nice. Can you still get needles for these TT's and is it worth it? How would it sound? Is the receiver worth it? I assume you can hook up other speakers to it. On CL in Wenatchee.

I notice that this uses the seperate record changers for 33/78 rpm and 45 rpm. This is no older than '49, since that was the year RCA introduced the 45 record. Actually, this was probably made in the very early '50's. Yes, it does have a nice cabinet; but, $390 is nuts unless it's been totally restored. These seem to be fairly common, as I've passed several up over the years. Usually because the condition was bad and the price was high. I've seen these (and their relatives) sit in flea markets for months and months with a high price with no takers. However, these can still be found for a reasonable price if you search long and hard enough.

As far as performance, this is a mono unit with an AM/FM tuner. I'd say it puts out about 5 watts of audio power. The record changers are more suited for mono records of the period. Stereo records could be played by updating the phono cartridges. Both TT's will almost certainly need to be rebuilt before they will work properly. This usually includes replacement of all rubber drive parts, replacement of the cartridge, and a complete clean and re-lube. The radio chassis will also need it's capacitors replaced if they have not been recently changed.
