I have the opportunity to get a JVC L-F210 in really nice condition for $65. I don't know much about this model, does anyone have any input? It has a fairly new Empire cartridge which I'm also not familiar with. Is this a good deal?

I'm not familiar with that model, but a quick Google search shows it's a fully automatic belt drive. If that's what you want and it's in proper working condition, it seems a good value.

I do have a couple Empire cartridges and they're average to above average quality in my opinion.

Well, Empire hasn't made cartridges in years, so I don't know how new it could be. I'd wonder about the condition of the stylus, no matter what the seller says--and that goes for any used tt--don't buy tts based on the cartridge, and don't let the seller inflate the price because of the cartridge. As for the tt itself, it's a typical 80s straight arm, and I'm sure it's fine, but I wouldn't pay $65 for it. $25-35, maybe $45 if pickens are slim in your area.
