Hi Folks, I bought a Kenwood Turntable Model 2055 and found that the speed is slower than normal The problem is that the TT does not have speed control knob. Anybody have this experience please advise how to handle this problem. Thank you.

I remember mine as a great deck from the -70's. It has no speedadjust, being a beltdrive. You may just need to replace the belt.

I had the same problem- too slow- got a new belt and it's 99.8% accurate now. But I could be .2% wrong.

I'd love to be able to tell you, i've got one as well.
I can imagine the belt needs replacing it's been on there ages. But it seems to me the speed governance is hard coded into the circuit board, so you may want to be changing the components for fresh ones. There may be a trim pot or something, i haven't looked carefully in ages, despite having had it open to lube the bearing a couple weeks ago.
I just took the platter off and noticed that there is a black adjustment knob under the platter that says F----> S----< that you would turn to change the speed. Hope this helps. This is on the 2055 Kennywould TT
