Jan 14,09 a Wednesday, Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks will perform at the Ark, Ann Arbor.As of this afternoon plenty of seats were available.I'm really lookin' forward to this show,hope to see some of you guys there....

I haven't seen a and The Hot Licks show in a few years. Just a few of his Bayside Jazz shows. Great shows but acoustic jazz standards not Licks stuff. I miss the old Sweetwater shows, he was playing there almost every Sat afternoon for quite some time. For tips too, no cover.

We saw them last year, I am willing to bet your in for a treat. My wife was singing harmony for weeks after that show and what better place than the Ark.

It was a great show last night. This was my first experience with Dan Hicks and his Lickettes. Dan's violin/mandolin player and guitar player are damn fine musicians and stole the show while Dan prefered to remain in the background playing rhythm. Dan is humorous and unpretentious and knows how to laugh at himself and the Lickettes were, ummm, quite lickable. :)

Before the show David and I caught the happy hour at Arbor Brewing Company washing down a delicious cheeseburger with a few pints of Sacred Cow. Another excellent Ann Arbor evening.
