I'm looking for a carbon brush from a retail store, but haven't had much luck. I live in Van, BC.

There is (or was) a neat record store down in one of the alleys near ChinaTown. Don't know if he could help, and maybe you've already tried there.

Signature Audio will be willing to get one in for you, but it may cost more. Commercial Electronics should have some in stock; they carry a good selection of turntables in the basement.

O/T did you take the picture in your avitar?

I did indeed. I was a member of the Seattle Museum of Flight for about 15 years. It's the best non-government aviation museum I've ever seen. The Lockheed A-12/YF-12A/SR-71 are particular favorites of mine.

Cool. I'm not an aviation person, but I'm pretty interested in industrial form factors from a design / aesthetic point of view. The SR71 has an incredible "shape". Hopefully I will get to see one one day. Better jump across the border and take a look!
