Perhaps someone has some ideas on this relatively easy hook up that for some reason does not seem to work.
I have the Onkyo 906 Receiver. I have a DBX 4BX range expander and an equalizer. I like to use these for my vinyl and tape. I have a DBX 400X program route selector that has my 4BX and equalizer hooked up into it. 400X is basically an audio switcher. I have the 400X program route selector into the tape input of the onkyo 906. I select TAPE from the 906 input selector and when I play tapes, no problem, I can apply the 4BX and the equalizer to the signal and modify the sound and it works great.
Now when I want to play a record, I select PHONO on the 906 and select the line input on the 400X program route selector. The signal is passed through the 4BX and the equalizer but I can't modify the sound. The record plays fine and the LEDS move on the 4BX and equalizer, but not modification of the sound. The Onkyo 906 doesnt have a record out selector like my old Yamaha did and I know it worked on the Yamaha.
Anyone have any suggestions??
