Hey, I just got a Denon DP-300F for xmas and I have it hooked up to a 5.1 surround sound system. The sound is okay at best...I know it could sound a lot better. I was wondering if y'all have any suggestions for a good setup of a stereo amp and speakers that would cost $500-$800 total? I would only hook my TT(already has preamp) up to it. I also live in a small apartment, so small size would be a big plus!

Actually unless your system is truly junk, I think you're focusing on the wrong component. It's the preamp that needs improvement. What are you currently using for an amp and speakers?
