I just installed my 3rd MCD500, this one is in the Cape living room. The other two are back in Florida.

As been said in many other posts, what an excellent player. I will undoubtedly run a MS750 through it as well.

If a week goes by when you don't install a piece of McIntosh do you suffer withdrawal pains? :thmbsp:

Very nice Ivan. I've got about 350 hours on mine and it still keeps sounding better with every disc. :music:

Can someone give me technical explanation of the theory behind a solid state, or tube device for that matter, sounding better as it breaks in?

Our ears get used to the sound of the new unit and forget what the old one sounded like.

m'lu,

Not sure what you do for a living but I've two comments:

1) it's recession-proof
2) it's NOT electrical engineering :D

Masterlu,
Congrats, and yes, I look forward to the pics as well.

Speaking of which, your new avatar is a nice improvement (as are some others of late):thmbsp:

You won't believe this, my daughters digital camera (the only one we have here) just ran out of juice. Normally not a problem, but Shanna didn't bring the charger! :thmbsp:

Well, look at it this way - at least you have plenty of backup McIntosh in case something goes wrong with your system.:banana:

That is something I'll never see any day.

Very cool, I am trying to get just one of those babies.

Someday I will have one, no doubt about that. Just not sure when someday is.:tears:

Would it make a difference if there is one missing? :D
If not, you can send it to Brussels.

I hope to get mine in 2009. This would make it an early start.
