So I guess Sam Tellig liked the new MC275. We keep hearing the same comments from other Quad speaker users. I could have done with a few less mentions of my name though!
Part of what Sam liked was the MDA1000 used as a pre amp which works very well with just about any amp we have tried.

I went and looked at the June Sterophile issue that is what's on the stand at the B+N near me and no MC275! :( Is it the July issue? It did have a full page MX135 ad though. A McAd?

Hi Ron,

Just finished reading the Stereophile article a while ago. I think ST did a very good job. I have enjoyed his McIntosh reviews in the past issues. I understand that Stereophile is going to have a review of the MC-501 monoblocks in a couple of months.

I will go to my grave a McIntosh owner !!!!! That's a big amen.

I went to the Emeryville Tower (now the Berkeley has closed!!!!)
:(
They didn't have it yet but they did have the Tommy DVD-A that
Ron recommended 25% off so I bought it. My first one! Went to the check out counter and asked if they had any freebies and the clerk handed me a nice looking Verve jazz sampler. :)
I went to the Borders and not yet there either, so I used my 25% off net coupon on the just out Warren Haynes Bonnaroo cd. No magazine but not a total loss either. Maybe next week.

I finally got my copy yesterday! That was a great read
with some great info. I was wondering a name for mine,
it is now "The Count" ;)
So I now have The Boys and The Count, what's next? :D
Ron, I sure would like to hear your thoughts on all the MC275's
as you have most or all of them. Maybe some day...
