View Full Version : Pioneer SX-1050 jaaani 06-14-2004, 11:26 AM http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=39789&item=5704778862&rd=1 Looks very nice, don't it? rstsgsas 06-14-2004, 12:50 PM I have one that can be had for less than that. They are just as good as any 1250 ,even power is not that big a difference as it sounds. They are very nice. gyusher 06-14-2004, 05:52 PM I know a little about 1050s. . . I have sold a bunch of them and I have shown several of them on this forum. This 1050 is a fair buy. . . If you really look close it is in decent shape not exceptional just clean on the outside which is easy to do. I would like to see inside, the lights on, and presented in a nicer spot rather in the flower bed. . . I hurt thinking about it sitting on that concrete wall with its face in the bushes. A few marks on the top left side and top rail that are really of no consequence. . . If it works as he states and no issues it is not a bad deal. But once you start getting up in the three hundred++ price range it had better be reliable as dirt and absolutly no issues. There are buyers out there who will pay top dollar for one in top condition. If it was mine I would clean up that scratch on the top left side and show all of it inside and out. Even with those "Character Marks" it could sell higher than 299.99. If I had the money I would buy it after several emails and a telephone call. . . . IMHO they are up there in high air along with the SX-1010, SX-850/1250 all are great receivers. jaaani 06-14-2004, 09:43 PM If I were interested at this time, I would definately ask the seller the expose the guts as you said. I really wouldn't trust it being shipped 1000+ miles to me either. Even by air. I have really taken a liking to the classics Marantz, Sansui, Pioneer, Rotel... Someday I suppose I will get lucky at a yard sale in the posh sections of town or find an Ebay seller round my way. ouch 06-15-2004, 04:53 AM The feet on my 1050 provide 7/16 inch clearance on the bottom. But I still don't like the idea of this one sitting on concrete with it's face in the bushes. That ding on the left top front corner can also be an eyesore. And a look inside it is also a definite. Price? I've seen better for less. |
