Demo model - hence the clear acrylic. They sound horrible, stick with oringinal version for listening. There would be for like a collector just to put up on a shelf.:yes:

They sound like a hollow plastic box! I have a clear acrylic case kit for an SX-1250 stored somewhere around here that matches those display HPM-100s.

Remember Ludwig "Vistalite" acrylic drums?? Some of the worst sounding tubs ever produced by the great company.

These are more common than you may think.. they pop up every now and then for sale..

About a pair every 2-3 months so not to rare. Unless they are the same pair being test driven by a bunch of people who all come to the conclusion they suck compared to a real pair.

I've always wanted to build a 'light organ' inside a pair of clear acrylic speakers. Put on some Hendrix...
