ScramMan2 12-29-2008, 10:16 PM Each one has a "Stevie speaks" and additional tracks. dokblues 12-30-2008, 07:31 AM LP or CD? Styx_II 12-30-2008, 08:06 AM Been a fan for years. Jailtime 12-30-2008, 11:52 AM Couldn't Stand The Weather with bonus tracks "Hide Away" and "Look at Little Sister". Awesome tunes. :music: SRV is amazing, watch his Live at Montreux '82 and '85 DVDs, if you haven't already. Probably the best guitarist I've heard, and I listen to Hendrix, Page, Van Halen, etc. Think I'll go crank up some SRV right now...:thmbsp: getright99 12-30-2008, 03:28 PM Couldn't Stand The Weather with bonus tracks "Hide Away" and "Look at Little Sister". Look at Little Sister originally appeared on Soul to Soul, not CSTW. Do you have some sort of Greatest Hits? Jailtime 12-30-2008, 04:37 PM The "Look at Little Sister" that I have is a live bonus track on CSTW. So it's not the original release of the song. That song is awesome on Live at Montreux DVD, by the way. :music: I'll have to get Soul to Soul so I have the studio version. :thmbsp: pioneer54 12-30-2008, 04:43 PM seen SRV at the royal oak theater back when. (about 24 years ago i think) awsome show. the only bad thing was everybody stoodup for the first few songs. bummer. don20032004 12-30-2008, 05:47 PM SRV was an awesome guitar player! Never had a lesson either. Unbelievable! Wornears 12-30-2008, 06:21 PM He had Jimmie Vaughn for a big brother -- don't need no stinkin' lessons! <G> ScramMan2 12-30-2008, 07:46 PM Got SRV and Double Trouble lighting up the tubes tonight! Epic/Legacy. dokblues 12-30-2008, 09:02 PM Ok just kidding Love SRV got Soul to Soul spinning right now!:guitar: ScramMan2 12-31-2008, 07:25 PM LP or CD? CD's, I picked these up at Half Price books. Jewel cases look new. MarkD 12-31-2008, 09:15 PM I love his music and play if a lot. I saw him once in '85 at the Performing Arts Center in Providence RI. It was not a very good show though. He was off. Also, we were in the second row above an aisle and the staff at the venue were so intent on not letting anyone smoke pot that they were constantly shining flashlights up into the crowd whenever they saw a spark. Total distraction. I never went there again. sigloxx 12-31-2008, 09:23 PM Fantastic musician and highly enjoyed. My favorite release seems to be a compiled bootleg called Slow Blues. Really well compiled. SRV was definitely dialed into a higher power that night. :guitar: ScramMan2 01-01-2009, 12:48 PM Other "must have" recordings: - SRV/Double Trouble box set on Epic/Legacy (3 CDs and a DVD) - SRV and Double Trouble "Live at the El Mocambo" DVD.
