anybody heard of this band? i found this yest'y, keying off on the liner notes indicating use of amped violin and ring modulator.

this one is one of those i haunt the bins for, the strangely adventurous, all but forgotten, but nevertheless original and listenable for its creativity...

a kind of blues-y, folk-y, acid rock early 70s freakout with an astonishing cut at the end of side 2 called 'god bless the conspiracy' - an echo-plexed, ring modulated eletro violin workout that makes the whole album worthwhile.

i've seen it listed in different places on the net for close to $70 in M/M with CD-R included. definitely a keeper for you psych hunters

I have 5-6 McKendree Spring LP's. Picked up MS 2 in a used record store many, many years ago and really liked it, so have kept an eye out for any other MS. Fran McKendree now does Christian music.

I've a couple of their albums. Got this one mainly for the cover art as I am a collector of Roger Dean lp covers.

I saw them when I was in college and picked up most of their LPs when they were new.

Saw them open in the Filmore East 1971 for the Leon Russell Band. Second on the bill was a fairly unknow trio...The Elton John Band. They were quite good and I have their first two albums somewhere and will give them a play.
