I just ordered a Audio Technica 440Mla cartridge for my H/K T-20. I want to be prepared for installation when it arrives. I downloaded the owners and sevice manual from vinyl engine as well as "the stupid protractors" for cartridge alignment. I don't have the tracking angle guage that the unit came with, so how do I set the overhang? When the cartridge is in alignment does it follow that the overhang would be correct as well? It seems to me that as the cartridge swings in an arc that the cartrige could be in alignment for any given arc radius, which means i need to know the overhang. Help!

Yes, alignment according to the manufacturers recommendations results in the correct overhang--you don't need to know that measurement. The HK uses the Baerwald protractor. Use that and all will be fine.
