I know about the P-mount carts introduced late in the TT lifecycle. I have also heard of "T4P" mount carts. Googling gave me some pics, and they appear to be a bit different. I've also read that they (T4P) are used on Technics LT TTs.

What I see on the T4P carts is a hole in the side for securing them on the tonearm. Is that the difference with P-mount or are the two mounts identical?

They're the same thing.

SaSi: T4P is the name from the inventor Technics, and P-Mount is the generic name.
