I am hoping someone can recommend to me a good stylus for my Luxman TT
I'v only had it 2 days and don't want to ruin my LP collection with an old stylus anyone got any opinions on the subject please?

The stylus is a part of the cartridge and if that is what you really want, you need to tell us what cartridge you have in order to find a stylus that fits it.

If it is actually the whole cartridge you want, you need to advise what your budget is since there are many cartridges with widely varying prices that would be suitable.

I can tell you that the tonearm on you turntable has an effective mass of about 12 grams which when combined with the cartridge weight will help determine what the optimum cantilever compliance of the cartridge for your table should be. That should assist in selecting a cartridge that works well with the table.

Thanks Absolon, I have taken my Luxman down to the local Hi Fi shop and they are in the process of replacing the stylus and the cartridge as both are faulty. The stylus was a cheap piece of rubbish rammed into the fairly good cartridge(made in Denmark) and that was dammaged too. They are installing it with a Stanton stylus and cartridge, which wasn't cheap but am happy with the fact now it will have better sound quality than before.
