Hey guys this is just my first day but I already want to introduce myself. Well I'm from Malden Ma, I took a 4 year course in Electronics, and also right now I'm studying my Engineering, I got crazy about from editing to repairing, the reason I'm here it's ´cause my father has the Pioneer SX 680 and I was looking for it's service manual and here I am. I also like to play the electric guitar I got my Peavey amplifier to practice and also a Marshall and of course my multieffect pedal from boss. And I don't know whate else tell ya, just hope to contribute someday with all of you.

Welcome aldogs.
Sounds like you may enjoy the
wealth of experience and info here.

Well worth paying the small pittance to
be a subscriber as there is a great
Pioneer database
including the SX-680 service manual.

SX-680 is a potent 30 WPC.
Was one of my first receivers.

But not knowing any better at the time
I fried one channel by playing two pair of speakers
at concert level.
Found another one for free and did that one in too(DUH)

These use STK 039 modules which are still available
but I haven't gotten back to them yet.

Stick around, there's lots to learn here...........

Malden, Mass...You may not remember this, but at one time rhere was a company in Malden that made some of the most highly regarded radios of the tube era-National. They're long since gone, but their products are now highly-prized collector's items from a bygone era...

Welcome to AK! As Sandy G said, Malden was home to National Radio. I have several of their radios in my collection...wish they were still in business!
