And No Im not suggesting any illicit behavior :nono:

I picked up a copy of this yesterday at my local GW

Howard Wales & Jerry Garcia - Hooteroll ? "1971"
(Rykodisc CD re-issue,I think its missing one song from the original LP)

Ive only given it one spin and I like it !
Theres some great Hammond B3 organ and Sax,
Trumpet & flute with some Funky jazz beats
and good guitar from Jerry.
It seems short at alittle over 30 minutes to me,
Anyone else have a copy of this ?

I have it on original vinyl. Probably haven't listened to it in 30+ years, no idea at this remote date why I bought it.

Mebbe. I can still remember the opening riffs to the first cut on Side 1.

Ditto. (although it's only been about 22 years for me)
I am (was) a huge Dead fan. Never found it more than an interesting noodling session.

Jerry liked the sound of the B3. He's probably jamming with Pigpen now.

Now that I'm thinking about it .. any of the former Dead keyboardists. Pigpen, Keith, Brett, and Vince.

I have the original vinyl. I play it on occasion.

There are 7 songs and they total just under 31 minutes. Pretty short.

Garcia was never one of those things.

I've got the original LP and like it quite a bit. I look at Garcia's work away from the Dead as a separate pleasure.

Cool find! :thmbsp::music:

I picked up a promo copy of the original version at a flea market last year for a couple of bucks. Mine has a "suggested radio station playlist" sticker covering up the bottom half of the record cover :tears:

I'd suggest the playlist be nothing at all.

:D:ntwrthy:

Yea no written notes or checks in the checkboxes on the promo sticker on my copy, looks like it was tossed aside and not played

or maybe the DJ was lost in Howard and Jerry's noodling and forgot about the checkboxes. :thmbsp::music:
