I just wanted to send a special Thank You to Tim and Steph.
Sunday night David decided that he was going to go to Buffalo on Monday so that him and Tim could "swap" some of the audio equipment that each had for the other. Well I just so happened to have Monday off so we decided that I would go so that we could split the driving, 5 hours there and 4 hours back, all in one day. Well before we left Michigan we filled up with gas ($1.97 for regular), boy were we surprised when we filled up prior to leaving Buffalo($2.19 for economy).
It was so nice to see our friends, Tim and Steph, and I was finally able to meet Joey and Nicky. Cutest little kids you would ever want to meet. And very well behaved too. After spending some time at there home, and seeing Steph's new receiver and hearing her excitement over some components yet to come, we decided it was time to load up and go get something to eat. Our choice for restaurants was obvious...after tasting those wings at audio fest we decided that we were having wings for dinner! Tim ordered 50 wings for the table and let me tell you we didn't bring that many home.
It was time to say good-bye and hit the road. Steph had packed us a care package for the road with banana bread and homemade chocolate chip cookies. Steph, they smelled great but we could not eat another thing after eating all of those wings. I don't know how we didn't burst on the way home. But I will tell you the next day David shared everything. except for the wings, with the kids. It was all great.
I just have to say that I have met some great people here on AK, Tim and Steph being two of them.
Hey Tim, remember our conversation about driving on trips? Well I ended up driving the entire way there AND the entire way home, while Grumpy was sleeping in the passenger seat!!!
Thanks again guys for a wonderful time and next time I hope it will be longer.........
