Lee M 01-18-2009, 05:53 PM This looks like some variation of How It's Made, which is on the Discovery Channel. I've never seen this, but definitely interesting.

Yeh my friend saw it on that "how it's made" i'm guessing it should be longer ? he said you can buy the episode on itunes for $1.99 , i'll have to ask him how long that one is .
chicks 01-18-2009, 05:58 PM And here's proof that vinyl sounds better than CD's:

Well, they usually do three things in one episode, so it's the right length.

ablethevoice 01-18-2009, 11:17 PM Yeah, I saw the segment on HIM a couple of weeks ago. Amazing to see a little hockey puck of vinyl get turned into an LP in a few seconds.

Everybody knows that's not a fair comparison... he wasn't playing the CD at 500 RPM.
Enjoying or listening..What your doing makes a big differnce.
wilkes85 01-19-2009, 08:14 PM I made a youtube video demonstrating the difference between 3 different turntables, and MP3.
The first turntable i used is a 1977 Lloyd's all-in-one with a BSR changer.
verdict: Sounded good. By no means comparable to a high end turntable, but it sounded awesome for what it is.
The second is a 1967 RCA Victor portable stereo record player with a Garrard model 3000 changer.
verdict: The speed is a little sluggish, hardly any treble, and the general sound quality is surprisingly horrible for such a fine quality unit, but this unit plays 78s and older records beautifully.
The third is a 1980 Sanyo TP-1010 turntable.
verdict: Sounds the best in my opinion. Nice warm bass, and general tone.
And then I played the MP3 at 192 kbps.
verdict: You be the judge.
