Just got back from a free concert right in the middle of downtown Dallas. These guys can really cook. I was center stage about 30 feet out and could se everything and could hear everything right through the balls of guyee silicone I used to stop up my ears with.
3 kids and they could really play! They ended the show with what I thought was a great tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughn, nothing that was on the CD, had that Texas Roadhouse driving rythm and they jammed hard. A great time was had by all, maybe by me the most. As one of the Street Team I was working the crowd as I wiggled my way to where I ended up watching the show. I had a bunch of posters and temp tatoos and was mostly handing them out to kids and hot women. FUN!!
They come to your town be sure and check them out. Lots of energy and talent and some very good music.

Guess my post in Wednesday Tunes about 'em even more so ostracizes me from what the buzz is. Glad you had a good time, Thatch.

My wife heard their song on the radio and commented that she loved it and asked who it was.
I immediatly thought it might be Los Lobos and then later happend to be scanning through TV and caught them on some show doing their radio tune.
Well, I was half right.
They do have that kind of raw 'bar band' sound that I like.
Looks like I may have to get the album.

The CD does not have the over compressed and processed sound, per the lady of the house, which made seeing and hearing them live more fun.

Best part is that they are really having fun - and it shows.

I like that "Heaven" song they play on the radio!

The whole CD is fine.
I had to laugh one day though. My daughter is watching Nickelodeon and they break into one of the videos, almost always some teeny bobber tripe, but this time it turns out to be "Heaven"
Dad turns it up! :D
I may have damn near a rock festival lineup here in August. On the 27th it's The Allman Brothers wsg Los Lonely boys, and then 2 days later it's the BB King Blues Review with BB King, Dr. John, Shemeika copeland and ole' Pigboy Crabshaw hisself, Elvin Bishop!!
One, none or both??? Decisions, decisions????????

....Elvin Bishop's sittin on a bale of hay, he ain't good lookin but he shore can play.......
Definitely both shows Andyman.
And toze - we normally line up in similar tastes - but I gots to disagree with you on this one. The entire LLB album is superb - would definitely be in my top-5 new albums in the past year. I'm ready for the follow-up.
Have you heard the entire album?

Nope. Hey, I knew I was in the minority with my opinion. But, I just don't get it.

Got the cd...:thmbsp:, and I don't buy many cd's these days.
Three guys making all this music. Beautiful harmonies, great jams,
and most of all real MELODIES!
Well, as long as bands like this are around there is still some hope for contemporary music.
