Lots of talk here about it, especially since damn near everybody on the team not named Calvin Johnson job probably is up for grabs.

I don't think they'll go quarterback because the line sucks so bad they could wind up with David Carr part 2. I don't know where the relative values are on the positions or players, but I'd go defense. They seemed to be able to put points on the board; it's just that they couldn't keep the other guys from scoring more. So whoever is the biggest, baddest defender out there could be the choice, although a killer addition to the O line wouldn't be a bad move either.

But overall, I'd build a defense this year and draft accordingly in all the rounds. Hell, they're back to square one again, so why not scrap it and start all over??

Personally, I think they will go for the typical QB/RB 1st round pick.

If it's defense you want, and you want to start with the 'big boys':

S. Cal, Ohio St, Wake F. have LB's (Maualuga, Laurinaitis, Curry)

Tx, Ala., Auburn, OK have DL's (Orakpo, Cody, Marks, Gresham)

They will pick a quarterback.......it will be Matt Stafford from Georgia

+1 for TMac's pick of Matt Stafford. Rocket arm, good size, speed. Throws some picks though, but what difference does that make when a new QB will sell millions of new jerseys? Sanchez won't go #1, too little starting experience. There's some good left tackles they could look at too.

Throw a young QB into the pit. Nice. That always works so well.

They should start with a good D line and a better O line. Find some linebackers. At that point it will not matter who the QB or RB's are, you will begin winning some games. That is the foundation of a winning program, you can substitute skill players as required. Look at New England and Pittsburgh.

That organization couldn't pour sand out of a boot with the instructions written on the bottom! So how can they know what to even pick! Think about it 1 and only 1 playoff win in 51 years. I think they have 100 loses in 25 yrs!! It takes a special skill set to be that bad and lose so well, when it matters the most!!!!

I think they should trade off their #1 pick and get more early round picks. They won't want to pay the price of what a #1 pick warrants anyway.
