Anyone else here into the band "the eagles of death metal"?
I have 3 of their CDs, and really dig their style.

Wow, Toads is still open. Used to go there for quarter drafts on Tuesday nights when I lived in CT. Doubt they do that anymore. Saw a bunch of good shows there. similost 02-05-2009, 12:35 PM Just checked them out on Youtube.. what a cool band! Cool_Manchu 02-05-2009, 01:14 PM So a little background on the Eagles of Death Metal for those not in the know...It's Josh Homme from QOTSA and Jesse "The Devil" Hughes, who were friends for years in the Palm Desert. The name comes from their comments on how they wanted to have a band that sounded exactly in between "The Eagles" and "Death Metal." They are a lot of fun. :) Jaron 02-05-2009, 01:21 PM i am seeing them tonight, i am excited as i hear they are a great show spok 02-05-2009, 01:51 PM Just checked them out on Youtube.. what a cool band! I did the same, i know a few of their songs as my kids play them but i wasn't aware....they are funky and rocky and punky all rolled into one Viking_One 02-05-2009, 02:28 PM Yeah, I´m digging them too. Check those two liknk, you just maybe gonna like them: Rallypack: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxAVQjA11bU And Lillasyster with their Rihanna cover: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PeEaNzg4os Two cool bands worth knowing IMO. Kepp on rocking:rockon: blownsi 02-05-2009, 06:30 PM Saw them open for guns n roses a few years ago... they literally got booed of the stage... terrible performance.... but at least they showed up.... axl took stage 3 hours late and then sang about 20mins and left.... good thing my tickets were free..... Raiko 02-05-2009, 06:56 PM I checked out EODM. I thought they would be heavier given they have "death metal" in their name. I was expecting a Coal Chamber sound or something similar. I've always liked Coal Chamber's extremely heavy sound. I saw QOTSA open for Smashing Pumpkins a number of years ago and they were pretty good. steerpike2 02-16-2009, 12:51 PM I did the same, i know a few of their songs as my kids play them The Love God's Way Ministries :boring: (http://lovegodsway.org) has this to say about The Eagles of Death Metal: "Some bands are what we like to call Gateway Bands. They lure children in with Pop Grooves and Salacious Melodies leaving them wanting more. They’ll move on to more dangerous bands and the next thing you know you’ve got a homosexual for a child." Strangley, they wholeheartedly approve of Cyndi Lauper :scratch2: And they make no comment at all on Cliff Richard, or Barry Manilow ! classic carl 02-16-2009, 12:58 PM Wow, Toads is still open. Used to go there for quarter drafts on Tuesday nights when I lived in CT. Doubt they do that anymore. Saw a bunch of good shows there. The last time I was there, I was still single. I've been married for almost 27 years. Toad's is still rocking and so am I. I'll have to check out the band later. I'm at work and YouTube and MySpace are blocked. Rex Everything 02-16-2009, 06:55 PM EODM are very cool and have a great groove about them. There are so many great bands that have came out of the members of KYUSS it's hard to keep count and track of them all. treserious 02-16-2009, 08:08 PM The Love God's Way Ministries :boring: (http://lovegodsway.org) has this to say about The Eagles of Death Metal: "Some bands are what we like to call Gateway Bands. I cant count the ways that that website offends me. you want to be christian, fine, want to try and push your beliefs on anyone else, that's oppressive, and wrong. no one has the right to tell anyone how to live their lives, as long as they aren't raping, stealing or killing, its not one bit anyone else's business. don't like it? tough.:finger::uzi::pistols: Zeromancer 02-16-2009, 08:40 PM I checked out EODM.
