Anyone else here into the band "the eagles of death metal"?

I have 3 of their CDs, and really dig their style.

Wow, Toads is still open. Used to go there for quarter drafts on Tuesday nights when I lived in CT. Doubt they do that anymore. Saw a bunch of good shows there.

So a little background on the Eagles of Death Metal for those not in the know...It's Josh Homme from QOTSA and Jesse "The Devil" Hughes, who were friends for years in the Palm Desert.

The name comes from their comments on how they wanted to have a band that sounded exactly in between "The Eagles" and "Death Metal."

They are a lot of fun. :)

I checked out EODM. I thought they would be heavier given they have "death metal" in their name. I was expecting a Coal Chamber sound or something similar. I've always liked Coal Chamber's extremely heavy sound.

I saw QOTSA open for Smashing Pumpkins a number of years ago and they were pretty good.

The Love God's Way Ministries :boring: (http://lovegodsway.org)
has this to say about The Eagles of Death Metal:

"Some bands are what we like to call Gateway Bands. They lure children in with Pop Grooves and Salacious Melodies leaving them wanting more. They’ll move on to more dangerous bands and the next thing you know you’ve got a homosexual for a child."

Strangley, they wholeheartedly approve of Cyndi Lauper :scratch2:

And they make no comment at all on Cliff Richard, or Barry Manilow !

The last time I was there, I was still single. I've been married for almost 27 years. Toad's is still rocking and so am I. I'll have to check out the band later. I'm at work and YouTube and MySpace are blocked.

EODM are very cool and have a great groove about them.

There are so many great bands that have came out of the members of KYUSS it's hard to keep count and track of them all.

:blah::wtf:

wow....not going to touch on how much this angers my heathen-atheist-bleeding liberal heart.:grumpy::rant::gigglemad:

I must me one hell of a flamer, because I have over half the bands listed there.

I cant count the ways that that website offends me. you want to be christian, fine, want to try and push your beliefs on anyone else, that's oppressive, and wrong. no one has the right to tell anyone how to live their lives, as long as they aren't raping, stealing or killing, its not one bit anyone else's business.
don't like it? tough.:finger::uzi::pistols:
