lol the "moptops"..i still crack up at the hullabaloo over heir "long" hair. I was 12 and my pals and i hated watching the girls we were beginning to notice act like idiots over those guys..our first jealous moments can be attributed to the beatles...too funny.

A great moment in music and history.

:thmbsp: :music:

I still get chills thinking back to first hearing She Loves You and I Wanna Hold Your Hand

... not to mention later songs, and watching A Hard Days Night and Help! in the theatres, and, and, and....

Wish I had been alive to see it, and I always enjoy hearing my mom talk about her whole family gathered around the tv to watch and how excited she was. Cool Stuff

I still remember seeing them on Ed Sullivan.

It was amazing.

I also remember a Life Magazine story on them somewhere around the same time.

Last week there was also a thread dealing with the 50th anniversary of the Day the Music Died i.e. the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly and others. Sometimes it staggers the mind to think the two events were only five years apart. And that Woodstock was five years after that. :scratch2:
