Just thought I would share.
Jack plays blues as well.
He has been around for many years.
I like many types of music, but rock is first for me.
This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3WevpRET2k) is not for everyone.
Enjoy

On one level, it's pretty amazing. On another level, though, I much prefer Buck Dharma.

Is that the same Jack Starr from Virgin Steele? Dude knows his way around a fret board, that's for sure!

Yes it is. The older Virgin Steele stuff anyway. As well as from a few other bands.
I have the first two VS releases on vinyl.

If you take away all of the effects, you would hear how inacurate his playing might be...

Reminds me in a few spots of Yngwie Malmsteen (hope I spelled that right!), without the classical references.
As for inaccuracies, very few real "rocker" guitarists are completely accurate when chasing notes, but it doesn't always matter. The same is true for MOST musicians, especially so when playing fast and complex passages. I remember J.D. Morsch once saying that virtually all the "great" performers (we were discussing people like Doc Severinson, Jimi Hendrix, etc... as this was ca. 1970) regularly missed a few notes, and he could prove it by slowing down and analysing recordings! There is more to great playing than just accuracy; otherwise computer-made music would sound best. It doesn't. Then again, stringing together a bunch of inaccurate notes can sound pretty bad, too... :D

Of course there will be these types of comments.
To each there own.
Dude is kicking back and improvising.
He plays blues as well, and plays with a lot of feeling.
He has a lot of 80's music that I like.

That was pretty damn epic. I liked it more towards the end, but he's unbelievable.

That is not improvisation that is for the most part playing scales and not that well I might add. I would be interested to see his blues though.
