I just bought a Goldring GR1 and it is super sensitive. My home is off the ground with wood floors. What can I do to solve the tracking problem so that I can dance in the same room as my TT? If I go into another room and dance it's ok. I tried some gel pads underneath the TT, but that made it worse. What about hanging a platform from the ceiling? I'm not looking on spending a fortune to remedy this either.

A wall shelf should do the trick. Search back through the threads and I'm sure you'll find some recommendations.

Good Luck!

Thanks Andy, I'll look. I was concerned that if the floors vibrate wouldn't the walls vibrate too?

I doubt if a wall can solve your problem. Only couple things you can do

1) Minimize the source of vibration or
2) Isolate the TT

As option 1 seems out of the picture, option 2 may be difficult to achieve. If your TT is light then it may not be that difficult, but if it is heavy you are out of luck and solution is costly.

Here is an expensive solution...

Don,

Thanks for the idea on a second mortgage, but I think I will build a wall mount this weekend and see what happens.

I trust you will find a wall mount entirely adequate. I used to have an an AR-XA wall mounted and could literally leap into the air and slam my feet down directly in front of it without causing a skip ( Of course I was even younger and more stupid then than I am now! ).
