...I should have done this sooner. Couldn't afford new so based on feedback from AK and others I bought this used, and couldn't be more pleased. SOTA Sapphire, upgraded to series 3, upgraded platter surface (same as Millenium), new composite armboard and rebuilt Sumiko Premier MMT arm. It came with a Benz cartridge, and, although it is their starter MC20e HO moving coil, it sounds fantastic on this table.

I bought this 3 weeks ago, but my summer chores have kept me from my obsession until this afternoon when I finally got it set up. Took all afternoon; lot of work to appreciate vinyl but it is way better than I imagined.

This is going into my main system which I have been putting together for the last two years. Hope to do some reviews soon.

Neat looking 'table! Tell us more about the Sumiko arm. Is it wrapped with a damping material or what am I seeing there?

Yes, the arm is wrapped in a damping material sold by music direct. I believe that these arms had some resonance issues and it was suggested to do this from some archived posts I've read. This is the improved version of this arm according to the paper work and has variable fluid damping as a feature. I am not sure, but I think I read also that this was the base arm offered with this table.
