had a member on the steve hoffman board paste a couple links to some help files here (audiokarma posted images)... so i had to sign up to look at them.
trying to fix a stuck platter on a BIC 940, and i think i am getting close- finally got the platter loosened up enuff to get it off of the TT, and now, just need to get my new belt, lube it all up good and see if it works...
my BIC is from an ebay purchase- cosmetically perfect, operationally not so good... (brings back memories of the one i had in the late 70's)...
i also have two kenwood KA 5700's, and a couple of vintage tape decks (denon DR-M12HX and a kenwood KX-1030 that needs some repair, maybe belts?)...
a technics SL-Q2 turntable and a kenwood KR-920 receiver (needs one switch replaced, and i cannot find one) and a pioneer dubbing deck and a JVC CD player...
polk audio monitor 5 jr's and a pair of yamaha 2-ways (no surround... all traditional loudspeakers).
all components are at least 15 yrs old or so.
good site. with all this old stuff, i might need some help working on it...
