so i picked up this 2245 several months ago and it was pretty much put on the back burner up until this weekend due to the receiver not going into "stereo".

well, saturday night, i decided to take another look at the mpx board.

turns out some cold solder joints caused the problem. ended up reflowing every joint on the board as well as recapping that board.

yeah, i am pretty pleased about it.

i need to order some more caps so i can get this unit recapped.

call me strange, but i actually like this unit better than the 120 i have.
