Anyone own one of these or any thoughts on one? This vs one of the Pioneer RTR, which would you do (excluding 909)?

I am looking at one and I think the price is currently too high, maybe there is some haggle room here.

Just would like 4 track with 10" reels.......

Thanks!

The 32 is an excellent machine, but it's 2 track, did you want a 4 track? If so then you would need a 34B.

Will it play fo rtrack but only record in 2 track or is it both play and record in 2 track?

The 32 will only play/record in 2 tracks as it uses the full width of the tape for 2 tracks as opposed to a machine like the 34B that uses 4 tracks on the same tape width. A machine like the 34B is very versatile as it will play 4 track and 2 track tapes. I have no experience with Pioneer decks, so I do not know how they compare to a Teac/Tascam machine in terms of sound.

Vincei is correct, will add a 32 or 34 has 7-1/2 + 15 speed compare to 901/909 with 3-3/4 + 7-1/2. :)

Seller is firm on price and loooking for a unit that will play 4 tracks with 10" reel capability so I am passing this unit.
Thanks for you insight.

You welcome, maybe look for a Pioneer 901/909, 1020/1011, Teac X-10, Teac X-1000 /2000 R instead.
Speed: 3-3/4 and 7-1/2.
All 4-track with less or more extra options included + 10 inch's reel-size :)
