I have used these speakers for around 2 years and love them. They offer an AMAZING value for their money. Bass is good and they have crystal clear highs (some find the highs a little harsh), but for my type of music listening they are perfect (rock / electronica). They have a very wide soundstage, and with a with well recorded music, the music simply fills the room, and the speakers seem to dissapear. They are also very detailed, when I just bought them I heard all sorts of stuff I never noticed before.

Their only weakness can be that they could have a little more bass, but considering theier size and price they are hard to beat.

How do they sound compared to the Titans?

I've had both speakers using the same electronics. They sound similar, but the bass on the Monitor 3 goes considerably lower. The Titans V2 can be picky about placement - they are rear ported and need some space behind them to breathe. I liked my Titans a lot, but punced on the Monitors when I could, for the extra bass. I never heard them with a Sub, but I bet a KILLER home theater speaker setup (for little money) would be Titans for fronts and rears, a CC170 and a PDR-8 Sub.

I recommend the Titans VERY HIGHLY! Those li'l speakers make a BIG sound and cost very little. Here in Chile they sell for around US$150 a pair brand new.

Yeah I was amazed at those little buggers too, they easily sounded better than just about anything at Best Buy or Circuit City and as good as the higher priced JBL and Infinity stuff.

Nice review Chris. Be sure and tell us how they are down the road, as any driver with a voice coil ought to change a bit with playing time.

I have used these speakers for a couple of years now. I did notice their sound changed a bit and mellowed out during the first couple of weeks I used them.
